We are excited to offer this opportunity for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Sessional Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join our team. You will use your industry experience to deliver engaging teaching, support students with their development and progress, and help them build the practical skills and knowledge they need for their future careers.
About the role:
As a Sessional Motor Vehicle Lecturer, you will deliver engaging, practical and industry-focused teaching across our Motor Vehicle programmes. Using your knowledge and experience of the sector, you will help students develop the technical skills, confidence and understanding they need to progress into further study, apprenticeships or employment.
Our students gain hands-on experience in areas including vehicle maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair techniques and automotive electronics, using industry-standard tools and diagnostic equipment. You will bring your own industry experience into the classroom and workshop, helping to make learning relevant, practical and engaging.
We are looking for someone who is:
• Enthusiastic and passionate about the Motor Vehicle industry and keen to share their knowledge with students.
• Industry experienced, with current vocational knowledge and experience within the Motor Vehicle sector.
• A confident communicator, able to engage, motivate and support a range of learners.
• Organised, with strong administration, record keeping and time management skills.
• Approachable and supportive, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and external organisations.
• Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to use initiative and respond positively to different situations.
• Team focused, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and quality.
• Committed to supporting young people and adults to develop their skills, confidence and future career opportunities.
